چکیده
Background: Adenoidectomy is most common paediatric surgical procedures. Commonly used methods for adenoidectomy are conventional curettage and endoscopic coblator assisted adenoidectomy. The technique of coblation has considerable influence on the duration surgery, blood lost intra operatively, pain first postoperative period. Methods: Sample selected study were children age group 3 to 11 years attending ENT OPD with clinical signs adenoid hypertrophy, who underwent during time period from October 2019 June 2021. We compared efficacy ECA CCA based intra-operative (operative bleeding) post-operative parameters (pain post operative day). Results: Our revealed that bleeding was more in (p<0.001). took than Pain day ECA. Conclusions: Primary objective comparison among both groups outcome loss less CCA. Secondary was, conclusion efficient basis post- day. effective duration.

متن کاملPaediatric adenoidectomy: endoscopic coblation technique compared to cold curettage
The aim of our study was to assess the efficacy and safety of endoscopic coblator adenoidectomy compared to cold curettage in paediatric patients. Forty homogeneous children (4-16 years of age) with adenoid hypertrophy were divided in 2 groups to receive adenoidectomy using cold curettage (A) or coblator (B). After surgery the following outcomes were evaluated: pain score on first day, days rep...
